Finding a recovery program for Methadone addiction

There are different types of recovery programs for those with a methadone addiction. It is important to find the right program. Not every program is right for every person. When you find the right program, you will have a better success rate of not relapsing, which is what family members want, and hopefully the person with the dependency problem.

There are inpatient and outpatient programs. Knowing which one is right for the person with the problem is important. They cannot get the right help if they are in the wrong program. Knowing the differences between inpatient and outpatient is important. Knowing the pros and cons of each will help you find the right program for the person in need of help.

There are inpatient programs to help those with a methadone dependency. This is a great way to still be able to visit the person, yet getting them out of the environment that could potentially hurt them more or kill them. With inpatient programs they have people watching them 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This program has all kinds of meetings, support groups, etc to help the person with the dependency out.

Then there is an outpatient program to help out. This program the person does not live at the facility. They come for the activities assigned them each day or the days they are required. They have a support group, but they are not with that support group 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you do not need to get them away from the group causing the problem, this might be a good way to go.

Knowing how long someone has been using Methadone and how much they have been taking will probably affect which type of program they go to. Sometimes getting out of the situation can make a huge impact and can really help the person clean up. While others may need the help and support, but not need it 24 hours day surveillance. Finding the right inpatient or outpatient program is important. There are many ways to look for help. There are doctors, psychologist, and other medical professionals who can give their suggestions and even refer someone if that is needed. The right help will help you get the person into the right program, which is of up most importance.

When methadone has been used, finding the right programs is important. When you find a program that will really help them out, you will do anything to get them there and as soon as possible.

Will I become addicted to methadone if I take it for 4 or 5 days?
I currently am taking about 45 to 60mg oxycontin a day and have been for the past year or so. Oak now at a point in my life were I want nothing more then to stop takin these damn pills. I have a friend that can get me methadone pills. I am planing on taking the pills for 4 or 5 days to help me quit. Mentally I'm more ready to stop then anything else in this world but I feel I need something to just take away the cravings. I know that If I can go for the few days without the opiate I will be able to stop. My concern is will I become phallically addicted to the methadone after taken it for a few days and will the pain of the withdrawals from the oxy be gone after those few days

Why does methamphetamine make it so you dont need as much methadone when on methadone program?
At one time when I was on the methadone maintainence program taking methadone daily ,I also smoked methamphetamine. I noticed that while smoking meth, I didn't need as much methadone or need to take it as often. I have since detoxed off methadone and have no intentions on doing meth or any other drug, however, I have always been very curious as to why my body didn't need as much methadone while I used methamphetamine. So I would like to know why I didn't need as much methadone when i used methamphetamine..

Will X-ray tech program allow methadone?

Why would methadone show up in my urine test?
I see a pain specialist doctor for a back injury. Every six months I must give a urine sample, which is a dip stick test in office. On my last visit, marijuana was found as were two other prescription drugs of which I do not take. The doctor is now sending my urine to a lab to be tested. I am not worried the prescription drugs found as I do not take those however, I do smoke pot once in a while to help with pain control. I live in California but do not have a cannabis card. I am sure my doctor will put this in my report to my workers compensation carrier who pays for my doctor visits. Can the insurance company deny all further medical care due to my pot use? I've heard of methadone being used to treat a lot of addictions from heroin to benzos to painkillers and even pot lol? . I beiginning to think I might actually have a problem like everyone has been telling me. I guess I was always to fu ed up to admit it. I huff a lot of axe, hairspray, and nailpolish remover. I have been on methadone maintenance for about 3 years now & I just gained something called Step 30 which means that I don't have to go in to the clinic every day anymore. Instead, I come in once a month to pick up a months worth of pills. When I went in to the clinic I was getting liquid methadone, but now I have the Methadose 40mg Methadone Hydrochloride Tablets For Oral Suspension USP. On a different label they are also called Methadone HCL 40mg Diskettes. I'm told that I am not supposed to chew and or swallow them before I dissolve them in water. Unfortunetly, they taste horrible and even mixing them in OJ is nasty. My question is, why can't I break them up & swallow them, & if I did what would be the worst thing that could happen? If I do absolutely have to dissolve them first, do you have any advice on a less painful way to administer them? Thanks
