Finding a recovery program for Methadone addiction
There are different types of recovery programs for those with a methadone addiction. It is important to find the right program. Not every program is right for every person. When you find the right program, you will have a better success rate of not relapsing, which is what family members want, and hopefully the person with the dependency problem.
There are inpatient and outpatient programs. Knowing which one is right for the person with the problem is important. They cannot get the right help if they are in the wrong program. Knowing the differences between inpatient and outpatient is important. Knowing the pros and cons of each will help you find the right program for the person in need of help.
There are inpatient programs to help those with a methadone dependency. This is a great way to still be able to visit the person, yet getting them out of the environment that could potentially hurt them more or kill them. With inpatient programs they have people watching them 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This program has all kinds of meetings, support groups, etc to help the person with the dependency out.
Then there is an outpatient program to help out. This program the person does not live at the facility. They come for the activities assigned them each day or the days they are required. They have a support group, but they are not with that support group 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you do not need to get them away from the group causing the problem, this might be a good way to go.
Knowing how long someone has been using Methadone and how much they have been taking will probably affect which type of program they go to. Sometimes getting out of the situation can make a huge impact and can really help the person clean up. While others may need the help and support, but not need it 24 hours day surveillance. Finding the right inpatient or outpatient program is important. There are many ways to look for help. There are doctors, psychologist, and other medical professionals who can give their suggestions and even refer someone if that is needed. The right help will help you get the person into the right program, which is of up most importance.
When methadone has been used, finding the right programs is important. When you find a program that will really help them out, you will do anything to get them there and as soon as possible.
Methadone Clinics: Methadone Facts
methadone clinics - Important information about methadone recovery and the use of methadone in drug addiction recovery.
What are all the reasons that most methadone clinics mix the drinks they give with orange juice?
Whats the point of methadone clinics?
My uncle got back on heroin, he does it all in one shot because he's a idiot. Iv done heroin before but iv never done more than a 10$ bag at once. A 10$ bag last me all day and most of the time i get sick of it and save it for next day not many people can do this not that i'm proud of this or anything. He on the other hand will do 100$ worth within hours just after being clean for months ''Stupid''So now since he has completely abused it and he has dug himself a nice deep hole he gets dope sick when he doesn't get it. Like in record time he can go from clean to dope sick, it's a paradox. He's almost 50 and doesn't have a job. Somehow he got disability and blew his social security savings for it. Collects a couple hundred a month and instead of spending it on regular heroin where price is an obstacle he is buying record amounts of methadone at 50$ a week and as a bonus ''a bonus'' the ''well behaved'' addicts with take home privileges sell it out front the clinic. Now iv done methadone before just because he has given it to me. It's very long lasting, however it's not like real heroin but it's still strong, strong enough to kill you via respiratory depression. So whats the difference?...it's the same thing but in pink coolaid form. The logistics are a little different, drug is a little different but frankly it's the same thing. A matter o fact it's worse because the government is pushing it and it's so much more efficient then those ''pesky Illegal drugs'' that are ruining society. So now he can stay higher longer for cheaper...''great'' Not saying drugs should be legal but the government is doing just that. Just so long as they get their money.Personally i think he'd be better off buying on the streets, at least it doesn't come from tax payers pockets and he has to work into his addiction and work his way out for not having it, the clinic has taken care of the gravity problem. I guess methadone is a better option than heroin if you don't want to fiend. He plans on staying with this program for years Brags about it proudly.Did you know just about anybody can do a bit heroin for the day and get on this program for capitol gain or cheaper high? And that's what is happening is this case. They drop you every time you come in and he still does regular heroin on the side, if he doesn't do it for awhile and passes a drug test then he gets take home privileges. Sorry if this turned into a rant

Are there any methadone clinics within 300 miles of Pocatello ID?
Anybody know much about OPANA WITHDRAWALS? And methadone clinics?
It started in or around May 2010. I had a kidney stone removal surgery and stayed in the hospital for a total of 2 weeks with many many complications. During that time I recieved, 2mg dilaudid through my IV, every 4 hours. When I was feeling better it was time to go home, and my doc sent me home with one prescription of like 30 percocet 5 325. That was gone within days, and from then on I was a player in this so called opiate game. It was only the beginning. Pain pills were so easy to find, and it was an easy high I loved that warm feeling Ahhh. Anyways, it only got worse from there. I loved percocet, vicodin, roxycodone But my tolerance was getting higher and higher. At first, it was maybe just an example 2 3 percocet 10 325 a day, and I would be goooood, real good. The more I did, the higher my tolerance was, and I needed more. I was introduced to Opanas the beginning of 2011. I knew what they were before but I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I loved the fact that at first I could snort a line of an opana the width of my pinky nail and get an even more intense warm cozy feeling. I loved it. Let me cut to the chase, this Summer I got pretty bad on Opanas. I had one everyday. A 40mg everyday. And then it got to where my boyfriend and I need like 3 a day between us. Yeah, we bought 18 opanas last week. At $65 a pop. Do the math, makes me sick. I woke up yesterday morning wanting a pill, needing something... I felt like shit Withdrawals were about to begin. So I went to the emergency room, because I was running a fever, and diarreah started. I was just done with this game They gave me clonadine and phenegren. Which, together i feel okay. I have an appointment in the morning with a methadone clinic. Anybody know anything about that? I dont want to be high. I just dont want to be sick. Will it help? Also, is it me or does it seems like Opana withdrawals can kill you? Because i feel like im dying,.
Can i report a drug arrest to a patients methadone clinic?
Will it prohibit the clinic from future treatment of this patient? This person needs help. If he's receiving treatments everyday he shouldn't be snorting cocaine.

Methadone Clinics... Is anyone seeing what I'm seeing here?
Why the hell are these clinics an acceptable way to get people off of heroin? This drug has worse withdrawal symptoms than heroin that can last a very very long time. We shouldn't be getting people off drugs by putting them on different kinds of drugs. It is terrible what these clinics do to people, it just looks like a scam to me. They don't care about the health of the recovering addicts, they clearly just want money. I really feel bad for the people that have fallen into the trap that these clinics are. It's no doubt that a heroin addict is going to get addicted to methadone when they go there. If they're going to get addicted to heroin, they're going to get addicted to it's substitute as well. So can somebody tell me why these places are legal and accepted? Am I missing something here?" You can call me God" Addicts are NOT content on being addicts. You clearly do not understand how an addiction works. They would want more than anything to get off but their bodies and minds try their hardest to keep them on it through withdrawal symptoms.Meth is a bit different than heroin. The thing with meth and cocaine is that users just think they don't have a problem and that it is a perfectly acceptable way of living life. Once they realize they have a problem or are forced to quit by their family it's not as hard on the body as quitting heroin or methadone. With heroin or methadone you can want to quit really badly but the physical withdrawal symptoms are way too much to bear. With meth it's much more mental than physical. Sure, there are plenty of junkies that want to continue being junkies. But once they realize they have a problem via family or just by themselves, it's just terrible that this is what they are lead to most of the time. A lot of them just don't know what they are getting themselves into.I know it's a physical addiction too. It's just that compared to heroin the physical addiction to meth isn't shit. It's pretty sad that you don't have sympathy for people who have done the same things you have.
My best friend is addicted to heroin and cant go to methadone clinic?
You have to have medicare to go to a philly clinic and she has private health ins which they will not accept nor let her pay cash to go to the clinic bc she has insurance. Are there any private doctors that could detox her with prescriptions? Will a pain clinic do that? She cannot go away to a detox. I know i will hear many cold hearted responses.. But looking to get her help asap. Thanks. Suboxone is not an option due to the cost.
Methadone clinic?! Need answers?
My mama had always been hooked on prescription drugs like hydracodine, ambien, loratab, and kind of shots to ease her headaches, pretty much anything but recently i found out shes been going to a methadone clinic but i don't know for what reasons? She said she has to pay $12 a day plus a yearly fee, stuff just seems sketchy?
